In the 1980s, Simon Riding went abroad to work. After one of his trips back home, Vic and Peggy were visiting May Minchin at her home in Bourton at the time, namely Market Close. After Simon left the UK to return to work, they had the idea to tape a message to him. This is that recording. Here, you can hear the voices of Vic, May and Peggy – in that order – as they decide what to say. It’s very light-hearted. May has had a cup of tea before Vic & Peg drive home after visiting her. She’s putting on her shoes and says she thinks Simon looked ‘lovely’ with his Middle-Eastern tan! Then there is a pause with an outbreak of giggling…
